About Us

Channel 12 is an after school group. The students meet once a week and complete all writing and taping in less than an hour. Editing is done by an adult. On Mondays the previous week's broadcast is shown at our all school morning meeting. Channel 12 students then meet during lunch that day to critique the latest broadcast and discuss the up-coming broadcast. Assignments are given on the day of taping.

Channel 34 is part of the classroom ELA program. For the first production students began by brainstorming and selecting topics. Students then wrote questions about their topics and completed interviews. Notes from the interviews were used to write "voice-over" scripts. Students were responsible for selecting (and sometimes taking) photos and video, which were put into iMovie. The voice-overs were then done, with students responsible for making sure timing was correct and selecting transitions. Students' reports were saved as QuickTime files and put together in iMovie by an adult to create the final product.
